Call for Paper: Secondary Metabolites: Detection and Bioactivity

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to annouce the Call for Paper for a Special Issue on "Secondary Metabolites: Detection and Bioactivity".

About the Special Issue:

Submission Deadline: September 30, 2022

Aims and Scope:

Secondary metabolites include substances with sophisticated and variable chemical structures. These are valuable organic compounds produced by bacteria, fungi, and plants whose primary function is to mediate interactions between plant and animal ecosystems.

The importance of these secondary metabolites has aroused great interest in recent years to improve their production. Its extraction and characterization represent a crucial point to understanding the contribution of the pharmacological effects derived from its use and the identification of new bioactive molecules. In particular, the secondary metabolites extracted from plants, which represent unique sources of food additives, flavorings, and pharmaceuticals, are complex mixtures of compounds, and a better understanding of their chemical structure would allow a correct evaluation of the medicinal value of the plant itself.

This special issue aims to compile works that account for the methods used for the detection of secondary metabolites and the biological tests carried out to determine their potential activity.

I hope that this opportunity will interest you and look forward to your active participation. For more information, email us at info@setpublisher.com.

Sincerely,
