Profile-Baik-Ho Kim

Baik-Ho Kim. In 1996, he received his Ph.D. from Chonnam National University (Gwangju, Korea) and worked as a joint researcher at the National Environmental Research Institute (Tsukuba, Japan) for three years. He is an assistant professor at Chonnam National University (Gwangju, South Korea), a full-time researcher at Wonkwang University (Iksan, Korea), a full-time researcher at Konkuk University (Seoul, Korea), and a research professor at Hanyang University (Seoul, Korea). He is currently a professor at the Department of Life Sciences at Hanyang University, vice president of the Korean Society of Environmental Biology, and editor and reviewer of numerous international journals. Korea-Japan Joint Research Foundation Scholarship, STA-fellowship (Japan), 3 times Korea Science Foundation Project Award, Korean Water Societies Academic Award, Thesis Award, Republic of Korea Ministry of Science and Technology Academic Award. His major achievements include registration of 11 patents, publication of over 140 papers, and 5 books on chemical, physical and biological algae control. Currently, evaluation of the health of the aquatic ecosystem of rivers and lakes, excavation of microalgae species, mass production, and development of bioactive substances are being carried out.
